Servald Architecture

Overview

The Serval Project's Serval Daemon, incorporating Distributed Numbering Architecture (DNA), Rhizome, MDP, VoMP etc.

What does Servald read from: (executables and files)

/etc/serval/serval.conf This file includes all the configuration directions for the Serval daemon, including what interfaces to listen on.

/etc/serval/serval.keyring This is the main Serval keyring, which stores the SID key to which other Serval nodes can address MDP packets. The primary SID is also used to sign application announcements (see App Portal Architecture).

/etc/serval/keys.d/mdp/serval.keyring This keyring stores the Serval keypair used to sign OLSRd routing traffic with the OLSRd-MDP plugin.
